Shipping and Delivery Policy

At StartWell, operated by StartWell Health and Wellbeing Private Limited, we are committed to delivering fresh, nutritious meals to children in schools reliably and on time. This policy outlines our delivery practices.

1. Delivery Coverage

Partnered Schools Only:
StartWell delivers exclusively to schools where we have an active partnership. We do not offer home delivery or individual doorstep delivery.

All deliveries are coordinated with school administration to ensure smooth and timely distribution to students.

2. Delivery Timing

Two Separate Deliveries for Freshness:
To maintain quality and freshness, meals are delivered separately for each break:

  • Short Break (Breakfast): Delivered before the school’s short break timing
  • Long Break (Lunch): Delivered before the school’s long break timing

Meals are prepared close to consumption time (typically within 90 minutes prior to delivery).

3. Delivery Process

To ensure accurate delivery:

  • Each meal is individually labelled with the child’s name, class, and section
  • Orders are delivered to the school reception or designated drop-off point
  • School staff are responsible for distributing meals to classrooms

4. Missed Deliveries / Non-Receipt

  • All deliveries are handed over to designated school staff
  • Once delivered at the school, StartWell is not responsible for internal distribution within the school
  • In case a child does not receive their meal, students should check at the school reception, where backup support may be available in select cases

5. Order Modifications & Same-Day Orders

  • Orders can be modified or paused via the app/dashboard
  • Changes must be made before the daily cutoff time (12 midnight prior to delivery)

Same-Day Orders:
Same-day Long Break orders are accepted until a morning cutoff (typically before 8:00 AM).

An additional quick service fee will be applicable for same-day orders.

6. Packaging & Food Safety

  • Meals are prepared in FSSAI-compliant kitchens under strict hygiene protocols
  • Food is packed in high-quality, sealed containers to maintain freshness
  • Meals are designed to be mild, child-friendly, and nutritious
  • For best quality, meals should be consumed during the designated school break

7. Delivery Charges

Delivery is included as part of the meal pricing.

There are no separate delivery charges, except for the quick service fee applicable on same-day orders.

8. Delays

While we strive for punctual deliveries, delays may occasionally occur due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will proactively inform the school wherever possible.
